Generators in Farming and Agriculture

Because of our nation’s size and often remoteness and our love of the great outdoors, generators are a widely used appliance to access reserve power in the areas of leisure, work, travel or emergencies. Although natural gas and LPG have been used for over 100 years, they have been mainly used for home cooking or heating. To use natural gas or LPG as engine fuel is still a relatively new occurrence.

Up until now generators have been petrol or diesel fueled, which while giving us access to reserve power, has had some serious down sides. For example in 2008 the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) commissioned a report from the American National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) on this issue and as a result mandated explicit warning labels, warning the consumer of the danger of carbon monoxide poisoning associated with operating a portable generator. This report revealed that at least 65 people died from carbon monoxide poisoning associated with portable generators in 2006. We are proud to introduce a range of both natural gas and LPG generators that provide numerous operating benefits over conventionally fueled models.
